About me

House of Bloom Floral Design was founded in 2020 by Sophie, based in West Yorkshire with over 4 years of floristry experience, Sophie started House of Bloom in the times of ‘lockdown’, working with predominately dried flowers in her spare bedroom. After months of cramped working, House of Bloom finally got upgraded to a purpose built garden studio, meaning more room to bloom.
Fast forward to the present day, Sophie now spends her time working on a number of weddings and events throughout the year, whilst still creating dried florals for local stockists. House of Bloom has well and truly bloomed!

'If I could describe my own style it would be wildly modern, using seasonally unique flowers to create magic through florals. I have always had a strong interest in art and design and love to bring this out in my designs.
After starting her florist career working in a city centre florist and going on to complete courses with Leafy Couture and Tallulah Rose, Sophie developed her contemporary style and love for modern florals.

Where's the house?

Based in Castleford - West Yorkshire, Sophie works from her purpose built garden studio to create everything for your wedding day florals. Using local flower farmers where possible, the 'house' of bloom is open for wedding consultations all year round.

Sustainable Floristry

Just like every modern industry, floristry has been lead down the sustainable route. At House of Bloom Floral Design we pride ourselves in using no floral foam in our designs, along with limiting our need to use single-use plastic. Alongside this we will always try to include Yorkshire grown varieties of flowers, using our creativity we will visualise a plan to make sure we get the most use out of your wedding and event florals throughout your day. After your wedding or event, we are on hand to reimagine your wedding florals into gift bouquets for your friends and family to enjoy for longer.
